Online Tafseer Classes—Tafseer Quran Courses

Q: What is Tafseer and why should I learn it?

Tafseer is the detailed explanation and interpretation of the Quran. It goes far beyond translation — explaining the context of each verse, reasons for revelation, linguistic depth, and practical lessons for daily life. Every Muslim who wants to truly understand the Quran needs Tafseer.

Q: Do I need to know Arabic to study Tafseer?

No. Our Tafseer classes are taught entirely in English. You do not need any Arabic knowledge to start. Basic Quran reading ability is helpful but not required for beginner level Tafseer.

Q: What is the difference between Tafseer and translation?

A translation gives the approximate meaning of the Quran in English. Tafseer goes much deeper — it explains context, reasons for revelation, scholarly interpretations, and practical lessons of each verse. Translation is a summary; Tafseer is the full understanding.

Q: How long does it take to complete a Tafseer course?

A beginner Tafseer course covering Juz Amma takes 4–6 months. Intermediate level covering selected Surahs takes 6–12 months. Full Quran Tafseer takes 2–3 years depending on pace and session frequency.

Q: Can children study Tafseer online?

We recommend Tafseer for ages 12 and above. At this age, students can engage meaningfully with the depth of Quranic meanings. Younger children benefit more from Quran Reading and Islamic Studies courses first.

Q: How much do online Tafseer classes cost?

Plans start at $40/month. Your first 3 classes are completely free — no credit card, no commitment required.

What Our Students Say About Us

Trusted by Muslim families in the USA, UK, Canada & worldwide

My daughter started from zero — couldn't even read the Arabic alphabet. Within 6 months she was reading Quran fluently with Tajweed. The teacher is incredibly patient and makes every class engaging. Best decision we ever made.

Fatima Al-Hassan Texas, USA · Kids Quran Classes

I'm a 38-year-old adult who always wanted to improve my Tajweed but was embarrassed to join a group class. One-on-one with my teacher changed everything. He corrects me gently and I've improved more in 3 months than in years of trying alone.

Ahmad Siddiqui Michigan, USA · Tajweed Course

I specifically requested a female teacher and they matched me with a qualified Hafiza teacher the same day. She is so knowledgeable and kind. My Hifz is progressing beautifully. Highly recommend Quran Mentors for any sister wanting quality Quran education.

Aisha Mohammed Virginia, USA · Hifz Program

I joined Quran Mentors to learn Tafseer as an adult and it has completely transformed how I connect with the Quran. My teacher explains every verse with such depth and clarity. I look forward to every single class. Highly Recommended

Zainab Rahman London, UK · Tafseer Course

We enrolled our two boys together and honestly the results have blown us away. Both are now memorizing surahs with proper Tajweed. The teachers are consistent, reliable, and truly invested in every student's progress.
